Israeli Army Kills Palestinian Worker in West Bank

(MENAFN) On Sunday evening, a Palestinian worker lost his life, and three others were injured due to gunfire from the Israeli army in the occupied West Bank, according to reports from medical sources.

A statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Mohammad Shaour, a 20-year-old, was fatally shot by Israeli forces near Ad-Dhahiriya, a town located to the south of Hebron in the southern part of the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that their teams rushed a young man to the hospital after he was shot in the leg while trying to cross a separation barrier in the town of Al-Ram, located to the north of East Jerusalem.

Eyewitnesses informed a news agency that Israeli military forces conducted a raid in Qabatiya, a town to the south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, during which gunfire was exchanged.
The PRCS also reported that two individuals sustained critical injuries from Israeli gunfire during the raid and were immediately hospitalized for treatment.

According to an official news agency, a Palestinian child was also wounded by Israeli fire during a military operation in Turmus Ayya, a town situated northeast of Ramallah.

Authorities have stated that since October 2023, more than 1,059 Palestinians have been killed, and over 10,300 others have been injured as a result of Israeli army operations in the occupied West Bank.

In a significant ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
