Iran Committed to Deepening Cooperation with Oman
(MENAFN) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared Tehran's commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation with Oman spanning multiple domains during Monday discussions with Omani Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi, a presidential office statement revealed.
Pezeshkian emphasized Iran's ambition to strengthen collaboration with Muscat across scientific, economic, cultural, social, and political spheres, underscoring the "longstanding and cordial" relationship connecting both nations.
The Iranian leader commended Oman's "constructive role" in regional matters, noting how the two countries have stood by one another amid regional turbulence.
Al-Busaidi characterized bilateral ties as "historic and special," stating that Pezeshkian's May visit to Oman and the resulting agreements had established a "clear path" for advancing mutual cooperation.
In separate Monday talks, the Omani official conferred with Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. Both parties advocated for enhanced economic, political, security, and military coordination, a state news agency reported.
