Iran’s Missile Barrage Leaves Over Sixty Injured in Israel
An Israeli broadcaster reported that between 20 and 30 missiles launched from Iran struck key urban centers including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Holon. The barrage also targeted Soroka Hospital located in Beersheba, a city in southern Israel.
An Iranian news outlet, asserted that the missile strikes aimed at the Israeli military and intelligence headquarters near Soroka Hospital, adding that the resulting shockwaves caused injuries within the medical facility.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, declared in a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, “We will continue to attack any target belonging to the aggressive Zionist regime, and we see no limitations before us.”
On the Israeli front, the military announced retaliatory airstrikes on Iranian soil, specifically hitting the Arak nuclear reactor southwest of Tehran and a nuclear weapons development site in Natanz, southeast of the capital.
The current confrontation began last Friday when Israel launched air raids on multiple Iranian locations, including military bases and nuclear installations, triggering Tehran’s missile retaliation.
Israeli officials report that Iranian missile attacks have so far resulted in at least 24 deaths and hundreds more wounded. Conversely, Iranian media report that Israeli strikes have killed 585 people and injured over 1,300 within Iran.
